Brenden Mascherino is a Director of Photography based in Brooklyn, originally from suburban Philadelphia.

He works across narrative films, commercials, and music videos, with a focus on thoughtful, character-driven visuals. His approach favors quiet, intentional storytelling—using light, composition, and pacing to create mood and meaning.

Brenden shoots on both digital and film formats, with professional experience in 16mm and 35mm. Shooting on film has shaped his careful, considered style behind the camera—but he’s just as interested in pushing boundaries and exploring new ways of telling stories through lighting, lensing, and visual structure.

In addition to cinematography, Brenden also directs select projects—typically ones that align closely with his creative interests. He also brings a strong visual point of view and a background in professional color grading, which informs both his shooting and post-production approach.
